TAMAIA has triggered an unprecedented conceptual framework for understanding gender violence and from that stage has developed an intervention model that puts women at the centre of attention, validating their experiences and needs. This innovative model has become common in various professional fields, social and institutional to achieve its widespread implementation.
Since our inception we have given comfort to more than 6,000 women in their recovery process from the effects of the violence caused and the damage experienced.
Through our training programmes and supervision we have contributed our knowledge to more than 5,000 people among them students, and professionals involved in different fields connected with gender violence such as: Social Welfare, Health, Justice, Interior affairs Education and Communication. We have established over 500 workshops to raise awareness and prevention of violence, and we have participated in hundreds of lectures, conferences and round tables.
We have worked and continue to do so with both media interviews and participation with expert advice. We have collaborated with legislators also with organizations in Catalonia and the rest of Spain in terms of awareness, identification, treatment and positioning against the violence.
